New Glimmer Plates from Spellbinders

Hey there crafty friends!  I recently had a chance to play with some fun new Hot Foil Glimmer products from Spellbinders.

This card features three different NEW Hot Foil sets now available from Spellbinders.  I used the Art Deco borders (so fun!) to make an angled stripe on my card.  Then I foiled up the pretty Layered flowers (and the dies are included) and colored with Copics.  I love coloring and foiling together...such a stunning effect!  I added the sentiment using the Thank You Combo foil plates.

So simple, so pretty!

Holiday Cheer Glimmer!

Hey there friends!  I've discovered something....you can really make a lot of elegant, yet simple, and fast cards with the Spellbinders Hot Foil Glimmer machine and foil plates.
This is the time of year that I feel like I can not get them all done.  And today, I made 5 cards in about an hour.

I used two different plates from the new Spellbinders Holiday Cheer Foil plate collection!  These two plates are really workhorses because they are big, bold and look fantastic foiled on anything. 

This first card was made foiling on a piece of patterned Christmas paper.  Who doesn't have a ton of that laying around?  It's so quick, easy and elegant.

The Merry Christmas Banner Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Holiday 2019 is one plate that includes a stunning double-layer ribbon banner with the words Merry Christmas on it. The banner lays on a background of holly berry and leaves, ornament and other whimsical designs.

Glimmer Hot Foil Plates add stunning foil features to any project from cards to mixed media and beyond. They are designed to be used with Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System (or other compatible hot foil system). Depending on its design, some plates may be used for letterpress and embossing.

Reindeer Games Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Holiday 2019 is one plate that includes the names of Santa’s flying reindeers in various fonts and designs surrounded on both side with vine and star motifs.

Glistening Holiday Glimmer

We all get super busy this time of year.  Quick and pretty work for me, and the Spellbinders Glimmer Foil is so easy and fast.

These cards use the Christmas Damask Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

Joyous Bird - FSJ Stamp of the Month kit

Greetings friends!  Today I made my first cards for the upcoming Christmas holiday.  I know it seems like Summer just ended but I need to get a head start on the cards and tags and all the holiday making because it will be here soon!

This month's "Joyous Bird" creates gorgeous floral cards, scrapbook pages, and more.  You can see the stamp set HERE.

The set this month really lends itself to being heat embossed.  Its a beautiful, delicate dove....so elegant and sends the perfect message of Peace and Joy.

For this card I embossed the bird and the branches in gold.  I colored the florals with markers, and then I fussy cut everything out.

Then I took a piece of blue card stock, and ink blended Chipped Sapphire Distress ink.  I used a white pigment ink to stamp the stars and snowflakes.  I assembled the cut out pieces as shown and added a few sequins for some extra sparkle.

My second card used much of the same techniques except I layered some gold card stock as a frame around the edge.  Again, I used my favorite must have Spellbinders Hemstitch rectangles.  (you really need these!)

Friendship Blessing - Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month kit

Good morning friends!  I'm here to share the latest, (and possibly my favorite) Fun Stampers Journey stamp kit of the month.
It's called Friendship Blessing, and its a beautiful floral set!  I can never resist a good floral set.

This set is perfect to practice your coloring with.  Its got shading lines, and wide open spaces to work on getting the pretty blends.

I attempted the no line coloring with Copic markers.  I am pleased with how it came out :)  I stamped the image using a Copic safe ink that is really light.  I used the shading lines to help me figure out where to color.  

I totally love how my pear turned out. :)

Bookworm - Fun Stamper's Journey Stamp of the Month kit for August

Hi there crafty friends!  Summer is flying by, school will be starting before we know it, and hopefully some cooler days are in store for us.  Currently, where I am, we are having a heatwave...so we are staying in the AC and crafting a lot!

Today I'm showing off the Fun Stampers Journey stamp of the Month kit.  Its called Bookworm.  You can see it here.

  

I made a few simple cards with this set, and then also some bookmarks to go with them!  My plan is to use these with gift cards for a bookstore!

I often create a simple background with images stamped in a light color such as this soft stone color.

I added some enamel dots for a fun embellishment.

Spellbinders Glimmer Foil kit - July 2019

Hi there friends!  Hope you're all having a great summer with friends and family!

Today I'm showing off my favorite (to date) Hot Glimmer kit from Spellbinders.  Nothing inspires me more than a fantastic sentiment set, be it stamps, dies or hot glimmer plates!  They are just so useful!  And this kit goes onto my "must have" list.    I quickly made four cards with this set, and the uses are basically unlimited!

 First things...what is the kit?  It's a monthly subscription that enables you to get exclusive glimmer plates each month for your hot foil machine.  The machine is fantastic, and the selection of foils is amazing.  I use mine so much, its a permanent fixture on my craft table now.

On to the kit.  It's a fantastic set of sentiments with coordinating dies, and it comes with pewter foil!  You can see the entire kit at this link: KIT (affiliate linking may be used at no cost to you.)

And now on to the cards!

This card combines some ink blending and a stencil and a really fun set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I stamped all the pieces, die cut them and arranged them on a rectangle I cut out using the  Spellbinders Hemstitch rectangles.  (Another must have for me!).  I added my Foiled sentiment from the Kit, and I love it!

This card literally came together seconds after the last one...this ink blending is just the edge piece from the last stencil....it was too pretty to throw out, so I reached for some die cuts I had, and mounted them on the card panel and added another one of the fantastic Hot glimmer Foil sentiment pieces...and called it done.

This card has a Spellbinders Cut and Emboss folder, a little bling, and that super cute Birthday sentiment from the kit.

I was in the mood to do some more foiling, so I used the Spellbinders Circle pattern glimmer plates on this one, added a little ink blending, and some leftover die cuts and topped it off with the Foiled greeting from the kit.

Fun stampers Journey Stamp of the month club -July 2019

Hi there friends! I hope you are having an enjoyable summer and staying cool!   I’m playing around with the super cute Fun Stampers Journey stamp of the month kit for July,

This month it’s a cute stamp set called Age of Aquarium (love that play on words).

This set was so fun, I was quickly inspired to make several cards!

For the first card, I used my ink blending brushes and some distress ink to make an under the sea background.  I stamped the fish, and plants and castle in some bright colored inks and fussy cut them out.  I arranged them for a sweet under the sea scene.

This card was super fast.  I used the negative space from an oval die cut using my favorite Spellbinders Hemstitch oval set as a stencil.

My last project features an Aquarium Box companion die (sold separately) that makes a 3D card and I used it as a gift card holder.
