Just Add Color Blog hop and Giveaway

Hi there crafty friends! Today I'm part of a blog hop showcasing some beautiful new stamps from Spellbinders designer, Stephanie Low.  You probably arrived here from the fabulous Virginia Lu's blog. I'll include the entire list down below, in case you are starting here, and also read on for the giveaway.

The name of the collection is called Just Add Color, and you can see them all here - Just Add Color

I played with two stamp sets for this release.  I made quite a few different designs, but I'm

showing just a few here today.  I'll have more in the coming days on my social media accounts. The name of the collection is called Just Add Color...and that is exactly what I did.  I love coloring with my Copics, and these images are absolutely perfect for that!

For this card, I stamped a row of Daisies from Loves Me, Loves Me Not stamp set across the bottom of the card panel and colored them with Copics.  I added some extra interest with a white gel pen. I trimmed down the panel and added a simple greeting to the bottom.  I finished with some dew drop embellishments for added interest.

I just loved the floral arrangement on the Mandala Blossoms stamp set, so I stamped it twice, to make sort of a wreath effect. I colored them and then used the Hemstitch rectangle die set (a must have!)  to cut it out, and pop it up.

For my greeting I used my Spellbinders Hot Glimmer Foil machine, and the dies/foil plates from the February Hot Foil Glimmer of the month kit

On my last card, I stamped the Mandala Blossoms flowers in the corner of a card panel, and colored it with Copics. I used a ruler to draw a line on the back at an angle, and then trimmed out the corner and made a visually interesting angled card.

GIVEAWAY: To celebrate this release, we are giving away a $50 gift certificate to 3 lucky blog readers – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes on Sunday, February 24th 11:59 pm EDT. Winners will be announced in our blog hop post the following Monday. Winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties and taxes.

The next stop on the blog hop is my coloring superhero - Kelly Latevola

Everyday Sentiments - Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month February 2019

Today I'm introducing a brand new Kit of the month from Spellbinders.  It's the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month for February!  I'm very excited for this because I got my Glimmer Hot Foil machine last fall and I LOVE it.  I want more hot foil plates, and I love the idea that Spellbinders is going to offer exclusive designs each month to kit subscribers.

This month the kit features something we can never have too much of....EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS.  This kit comes with 8 foil plates that are sentiments and two banner dies that coordinate plus a full roll of special Gold foil.

The sentiments are:

Best Wishes
With Love
Congratulations
Just For You
Happy Birthday
Hello There
Miss You
Thank You

I made three cards already with this kit.  I normally have a small stash of cards with florals or watercoloring on them and I have no sentiments added.  I keep these cards handy in case I need a quick card.

Here is a quick little video clip I made showing how I use my Glimmer Hot Foil machine.  I used painters tape to create a little hinge with my shim and top plate, and that keeps everything lined up and from shifting.  You don't need to do that, but it really helps me.  Please see the video below.

I made a huge pile of sentiments with this kit at one time and they are at the ready to add to any card.

Supplies Used:
Glimmer Hot Foil Kit
All Glimmer Plates and Foil
Hemstitch dies
Layered Rose stamp set

Here are the details about this new, exciting kit from Spellbinders.  I've provided links to all the products below.  (Affiliate links used at no cost to you.  Thank you so much for your support)

The Glimmer Hot foil club is only $20 per month and that includes shipping.

The Glimmer Hot Foil membership subscription includes an exclusive Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set + One Roll of Foil.

You can see all the Glimmer Hot Foil products here. There are a lot of fun products coming soon too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I love comments!

Golden Swan - Spellbinders Card Kit for February

Hey friends,
I'm back today to share something really exciting and fun from Spellbinders!  It is the February 2019 Card kit...and OH MY, it is jam packed with all kinds of great stuff to make beautiful cards, tags and more!

Here is where you can buy the kit: February Kit It is a great value at $35!  You get the cutest Swan die set ever, a 6x6 pad of patterned paper, much of it foiled, tons of foiled die cuts, layered chipboard stickers, cardstock, a stamp set, sequins, card stock, foil card stock, cards, envelopes, foam tape dots, strong adhesive and more!

You can check out the unboxing video here to see all the great stuff that you get, for a great price!

And now for some of the projects I made with this cute card kit.

This elegant card features the main die in the kit..the Golden Swan.  It is so detailed and lovely.  I changed it up and gave her a pink wing.  I backed the card with the tiny foil dot paper included in the 6x6 paper pad...and I even lined the envelope with the pretty paper from the paper pad.  The border die is from my very favorite die set from Spellbinders.  You can find that here.

This card features the main kit die, and some fussy cutting of roses as accents.  I once again used the lovely paper to line the envelope for an elegant birthday card.

The last project is a tag that I made using the beautiful Golden swan die mounted on a tag pocket die from Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.

In addition, Spellbinders offers all the extra items separately (excluding the dies) so if you need to replenish your supplies, you can!  Shop for all the extras here!

I also made several cards using just the extras.  I'll be sharing those in the coming days so be sure to stop in again.

I'm going to post a link below of all the products I used.  (Affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you, thank you all for your support.)

NEW Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month January 2019

Happy New Year crafty friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Holiday season.  I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a new crafty year!

Today I'm introducing a brand new Kit of the month from Spellbinders.  It's the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month!  I'm very excited for this because I got my Glimmer Hot Foil machine last fall and I LOVE it.  I want more hot foil plates, and I love the idea that Spellbinders is going to offer exclusive designs each month to kit subscribers.

Let's have a look.  My first card is with both of the hot foil plates used on a black smooth cardstock from Tonic.  I love how this turned out...so chic and professional looking.  The red foiling creates that beautiful letterpress look.  The photos do not do this justice.

The second card I made was using black foil on a white linen paper.  I love the look of the foiling on textured paper the most.  It looks so professional and clean.

Did you know that Spellbinders offers foil in a bunch of colors?  I used black foil here, and the red foil comes with the kit.   Check out all the foil colors here.

Here are the details about this new, exciting kit from Spellbinders.  I've provided links to all the products below.  (Affiliate links used at no cost to you.  Thank you so much for your support)

Great, Big, Wonderful World - new Spellbinders collection

Hi there friends!   Today I want to share a new Spellbinders collection from Sharyn Sowell with you. It's called Great, Big, Wonderful World....and its full of really fun and unique dies!

The whole collection can be seen HERE.

I used the Shapeabilities Peace Begins Here die.  This is a large, intricate die that cuts out a GORGEOUS piece.

I have a few cards to share with you today.  These are cards, but really they are so intricate and delicate that they would look pretty just sitting out on your desk.  In fact, mine is in my work office...its a pretty reminder.

Both cards were created the same way.  The card design is my own.  I wanted the beautiful silhouette to stand out from the card, so I created a little ledge at the bottom of the front of my card.

For the black die cut, I created a dramatic ink blended background to put behind the die cut piece.  It's almost glowing, and it is really pretty.  In order to keep the die cut attached, I cut a very small strip of card stock and folded it and tucked it behind the die cut, and attached to the card.  It gives the illusion of it floating in front of the card panel.

The other card was made the same way, but I made the card out of black card stock, and die cut the gorgeous die from a light turquoise card stock.  I used an ink blending brush to color the die cut in different areas.

That's all for today!   I've linked the entire collection below (affiliate links used at no cost to you...THANK YOU for your support!)

Coffee and Tea with Spellbinders FSJ Bloom Box

Hello friends!  I recently had a chance to play with the new Spellbinders + FSJ Bloom Box kit.  What is it you say?  Well, its a kit that comes with everything you need to make 4 cards, all you need to add is ink and adhesive!  The kits come with a great set of stamps, coordinating dies, paper, and embellishments, as well as an idea book with detailed instructions and photos of pre-designed cards!

I played with the November Bloom Box.  I made all the cards in the kit, and an extra one too!

The stamps included in the kit are red rubber cling and they stamp beautifully!  I used Catherine Pooler inks and then added some shading with colored pencils on this card. This card was my own design.

These last four cards are variations of the designs and paper included in the Bloom Box.  I did not copy them exactly, but they came together really quickly.  I probably spent a total of an hour and half making these five cards!

There are several different boxes available too!

For more information on the Bloom Box, click HERE.  (affiliate links used - thanks for your support.)

Seasonal cards with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Hi there friends!  I had the chance to play with the new Spellbinder's Large Die of the Month kit for December recently.  This month it is a really cool interactive card die that makes it so easy to make a "WOW" type card.  Let's have a look!

The kit is a great value and includes a large interactive card die and a bunch of different accent dies.  You can see the whole kit HERE.

Since it is still holiday card making season for me, I made some cards with the holidays in mind...including a few Thank You cards.

The interactive card die makes it really easy to assemble these.  I used foil paper and cut out all my elements.  I adhered them together and that was it.  SIMPLE.  I can totally see using these dies with all sorts of patterned paper.

These cards all came together quickly using scraps of pretty foil paper.

Next,I took out some Holiday paper, including some leftover from the Spellbinders December card kit.  (The December kit is no longer available, but the extras are!  You can see them HERE)

Did you know that Spellbinders has all sorts of kits for different budgets?  If you are interested, check them out below. (affiliate links used at no cost to you)  Thank you so much for your support.

Spellbinders November 2018 Card Kit - Deer Santa

Hey friends,
I'm back today to share something really exciting and fun from Spellbinders!  It is the November 2018 Card kit...and OH MY, it is jam packed with all kinds of great stuff to make your holiday cards!

I may have gotten a little carried away making projects with this kit. :)

Here is where you can buy the kit: November Kit It is a great value at $35!  You get the cutest reindeer unicorn die set ever, a 6x6 pad of patterned paper, die cuts, layered chipboard stickers, cardstock, a stamp set, a roll of glitter tape, foam tape dots, strong adhesive and more!

You can check out the unboxing video here to see all the great stuff that you get, for a great price!

And now for some of the projects I made with the cute die set.

This card, I die cut the reindeer in a soft pastel shimmer paper and made a non-traditional card.

You can also cut the pieces out of white cardstock and color each one with Copic, or other markers, as I did here.

This simple tag uses the patterned paper included in the kit for the different elements.  The options with this die set is unlimited!

That deer die set is just darling.  You also can alter this to just make a unicorn face.  All you need to do is trim off the ears and place them differently, and use the hat, without the brim as the unicorn horn! SUPER versatile!

In addition, Spellbinders offers all the extra items separately (excluding the dies) so if you need to replenish your supplies, you can!  Shop for all the extras here!

I also made several cards using just the extras.  Super easy for quick holiday cards!

This card features the stamp set included in the kit.  I stamped and colored each ornament with Copics.

These last three cards were made with all the fun pre printed items included in the kit.  They were super easy, and this time of year, easy works for me!  I dressed up the die cuts a bit using the enamel dots included in the kits, as well as added a bit of shading using Copic markers.  These cards really look professional!

I hope you love what I did with these as much as I did!  Please leave me a comment below!
Peace,
Jacquie
