Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Kit for May 2019

Good morning friends!   Today I'm bringing you the Anniversary card I gave my hubby this past weekend.  I used this month's Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit for this month.  

Last month, I used the Glimmer Hot Foil system on an alcohol ink panel.  This month, I used it over washi tape...*YES* WASHI TAPE!  This opens up a lot of possibilities.  It foils beautifully every time!

I have been collecting curating beautiful Washi tapes for a long time.  I am always happy to find a new use for it!

For my card, I covered a white card stock panel with washi tape, and then used the Glimmer Hot Foil kit plate right on top.  I think it worked wonderfully!

I also foiled my envelope!  TIP:  Do not put the glue flap on the hot foil plate as it may cause the glue to melt. 

The kit this month is really pretty, it includes a main large frame Hot foil plate, and two accent plates.  There is also a die to cut out the center of the frame, as well as a die that cuts out the accent pieces.  The kit includes a roll of Glimmer gold foil.

I made this card by stamping the beautiful girl image on smooth white card stock, using a Copic friendly black ink.  I colored her with a variety of Copic markers and then colored the entire background .  I then used some Copic blending fluid to make the background look mottled.  I used a heat gun to set the entire thing.

The pretty circle border is from one of my MUST HAVE die sets (I use these dies all.the.time!)  These are called Hemstitch circles.  I have all the sets...they are awesome.  You can see them HERE.

Pretty Peonies - Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Let's get started, shall we?

This card features the gorgeous new set Peonies, from Pretty Pink Posh.  This set features several beautiful blooms that are perfect for coloring!

I started out by stamping all the flowers and leaves on Neenah Solar White 80lb super smooth card stock.  I used Memento Black Ink. I colored all the images using Copic markers, and cut them out using the Peonies coordinating dies, and set them aside. 

I took another piece of smooth cardstock and laid the new Leaves stencil over it and blended it with a soft green dye ink.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched diamonds die set to make a shaker window in my card panel.  I cut a piece of clear acetate and sealed up the window, and then added some Sparkling Clear sequins to my shaker.  I used foam tape around the edge to make the shaker.  I mounted the entire piece on an A2 sized card base.  I arranged all my flowers around this shaker window.  Lastly, I heat embossed the greeting from the Pretty Pink Posh Everyday greetings set, cut it out and mounted it on my card.

My second card on this hop uses the new Pretty Pink Posh Mother's Day set, the Leaves stencil, and a beautiful new Scripty Mother's Day Die.

This card was made much like the first one, as I did some simple, easy Copic coloring.  I used the Pretty Pink Posh Window Frames die set for my shaker and I filled it with the beautiful, new Carribean jewels!  (I squealed in delight when I saw these...GORGEOUS and in my favorite color!!)

The scripty Happy Mother's Day die adds such a punch to the card!  I hope my Mom likes this card! (Mom, if you're reading this, pretend you didn't see it. ;))
